Yanira Díaz De Rodriguez, MNM
Principal/ Founder
As Founder and Principal of Freedomland Christian Academy, Mrs. Yany brought to life her vision of creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can receive an excellent education.
Since 1998, her dedication and leadership have shaped the school’s growth and impact. She holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, combining both administrative expertise and a strong educational foundation. She is currently completing her doctoral degree in Special Education. Mrs. Yany remains committed to continuously strengthening and advancing Freedomland Christian Academy in every area.
Fabiola Campos, BS
Preschool Director/ Teacher
Mrs. Campos has been a valued member of the Freedomland Christian Academy community for more than 20 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree, demonstrating her continued commitment to professional growth.
With over two decades of experience in Pre Kindergarten education, she brings both expertise and passion to her work. Mrs. Campos is dedicated to supporting excellence within the school by mentoring and supervising new teachers, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.
Shaira Tolentino, M.eD.
Assistant Principal/ Teacher
Mrs. Tolentino began her journey at Freedomland Christian Academy in 2012 as a classroom teacher and now serves as the Assistant Principal.
She holds a Master’s degree in ESOL and is currently completing her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, reflecting her strong commitment to academic leadership and lifelong learning. Mrs. Tolentino brings valuable experience, dedication, and a spirit of excellence to the FCA team, continuing to make a meaningful impact on both students and staff.
Suhail Morales, BS
Administrative Services Director
Suhail has been a dedicated member of the Freedomland Christian Academy community for over 20 years. Throughout her time at FCA, she has faithfully served in multiple roles, including teaching, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the school’s mission. She now serves as the Director of Administrative Services, leading the administrative department with professionalism and care.
Mrs. Suhail holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which supports her thoughtful and effective leadership. She continues to manage FCA’s administrative operations with excellence and integrity.
Bryanna Alvarez, AA
Teacher
Ms. Bryanna Alvarez is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at University of Central Florida.
She has been serving at Freedomland since 2024As a Christian educator, she is passionate about helping students grow spiritually, academically, and personally while encouraging curiosity and faith in action.
Heilyn Colón, CDA
Pre-K Teacher
Mrs. Heilyn Enet holds a CDA (Child Development Associate) certification in Preschool Bilingual, an accreditation that supports her specialized training in early childhood education within bilingual settings. Since 2017, she has dedicated her professional life to working with young children, guiding them with patience and purpose in a safe and loving environment, nurturing in them the love of God.
Her passion is to provide high-quality instruction grounded in current educational practices, always integrating Christian principles that support the emotional, social, and spiritual development of each child.
Esther Cordero
Teacher
Esther Cordero has served at FCA since 2010 and has been a math teacher since 2016. In her role, she shares her passion for math while helping students grow in both skill and confidence. She is committed to creating a classroom environment where students feel encouraged, supported, and safe to make mistakes.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Education at Grand Canyon University to further strengthen her effectiveness as an educator and considers it a blessing to be part of a team that invests in the lives of young learners and seeks to make a lasting impact for generations to come.
Carol Cristalino
Teacher
Mrs. Carol has been serving as an elementary teacher at FCA since 2018. Teaching is truly her passion, and she feels blessed to work with children each day. Mrs Carol loves guiding young minds not only in their academic growth, but also in learning about the love of Jesus Christ.
Her goal is to create a classroom environment filled with kindness, patience, and encouragement, where every child feels valued and supported. She believe that teaching with love helps children grow both academically and spiritually.
Dalmarie Díaz, FCCPC
Pre-K Teacher
Dalmarie Díaz has been serving at FCA since 2002. Each stage of her experience has deepened her understanding of early childhood development and strengthened her passion for nurturing young learners during their most formative years.
She holds a Florida Child Care Professional Credential, which has provided a strong foundation in early childhood education. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education Special Needs. Her goal is to continue growing professionally so she can provide high quality, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of every child entrusted to her care.
Keren Díaz, BS
Teacher
Mrs. Díaz has been a dedicated member of FCA for over a decade. She holds a Teacher certification in the State of Florida.
Mrs. Díaz is passionate about integrating emotional well-being into education, ensuring that students are supported both academically and personally.
Gabriela Figueroa, M.eD.
Teacher
Mrs. Figueroa holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UCF and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from GCU. She has been serving at FCA since 2015.
She is passionate about Christian education and enjoys integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning and deepen students’ connection with God. Mrs. Figueroa is committed to creating engaging, hands on experiences that support students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth.
Melany Hernández, FCCPC
Teacher
Mrs. Melany Hernandez is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. She holds an FCCPC certification and has been faithfully serving at Freedomland Christian Academy since 2020.
Mrs. Hernandez is passionate about working with students and is dedicated to providing the instruction and guidance needed to build a strong academic foundation. She is committed to integrating Christian values into her teaching to nurture each student’s spiritual growth, character development, and future success.
Maria Hurst, MA
Teacher
Mrs. Hurst holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and a Master’s degree in Translation. She has been serving at FCA since 2014 as a middle and high school English teacher. She likes to combine creativity with strong academics.
Mrs. Hurst enjoys incorporating discussion, peer review, interactive exercises, and creative projects to help students understand what they are learning. Above all, she is passionate about providing a quality education grounded in a Biblical worldview. Her greatest hope is to lead her students to Christ through both her teaching and her daily example.
Beverly Pérez
Teacher
Mrs. Beverly Perez has had the privilege of serving as a Language Arts teacher at FCA since 2010. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education at Grand Canyon University.
From the beginning of her journey in education, she has been passionate about creating a classroom where students feel loved, encouraged, and inspired. She believes learning should be fun, creative, and meaningful, and she strives to make each lesson engaging and interactive so her students truly enjoy the process.
Alexa Rivera, CDA
Teacher
Mrs. Alexa holds a CDA certification in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in Valencia College. She has been serving in FCA since 2022.
Mrs. Alexa believes that showing Christian values through love, patience, integrity, and kindness is one of the most powerful ways to lead and teach. She is passionate about nurturing young minds and modeling faith, integrity, and compassion in everything she does.
Wilmer Rodríguez
Security
Mr. Wilmer has been part of the FCA team since 2016, serving as Head of Security. His dedication to keeping FCA safe and secure has helped create a more peaceful school experience for students. In addition, he is a certified addictions counselor, and his knowledge and guidance have been a valuable support in the lives of many students.
Carlos Morales, CAC
Pastor
Pastor Morales has been an integral piece of FCA's spiritual leadership. He has served at FCA since its humble beginnings. He is currently finishing a bachelors in business administration.
His passion is in sharing the Word of God to all of the students and making that same Word applicable to their every day lives. He believes the spiritual education is just as important as the educational aspect.
Alejandro Campos, CAC
Chapel Pastor
Mr. Alejandro's passion for exposing God's Word to our students is reflected in our student's eagerness to attend their weekly chapels. Mr. Campos' advice, care and direction for our students are covered by God's love and grace. Mr. Alejandro is also a certified addictions counselor which gives him knowledge to help our students prevent the use of substances.
Jaaziel Figueroa
Chapel Director
Mr. Figueroa has been serving as the chapel director since 2025. His passion for leading and shaping our students musically is reflected in the excellence of our chapel devotionals.
Edgard Colón, BA
Food Director
Mr. Colón has been serving at FCA for over 10 years. He currently serves as the Food Director, assuring our students' lunch menus are aligned with current Florida standards. His passion for students goes beyond the kitchen.
Laura Gómez
Culinary Team
Mrs. Laura Gomez has been a valued member of the culinary team at FCA since 2014, faithfully preparing delicious meals for students each day. Her cooking has become such a highlight that many former students return just to enjoy lunch again. Mrs. Laura is passionate about serving food with love and intention, seeing her role as a meaningful way to care for and bless the school community.
Carmen "Kuku" Rodríguez
Culinary Team
Mrs. Kuku, as the students lovingly call her, has been an integral part of the culinary team at FCA, serving full time with dedication and care. Her culinary support and warm presence have made the students’ lunch experience even more enjoyable. Mrs. Kuku is truly grateful to be part of the FCA team and to serve the school community each day.
Irma Torres de Vasquez
Culinary Team
Mrs. Irma has been a faithful part of FCA since its earliest days, serving wherever she has been needed with a willing heart and a servant’s spirit. She was one of the pioneers in creating the culinary team, helping build a kitchen that does more than prepare meals but creates comfort and a sense of home for our students. Our students especially cherish being greeted by "Abuela Irma", a name that reflects the love and respect they have for her. Through her faithful service and loving presence, Irma continues to be a true blessing to everyone at Freedomland.
Sherlley Campos, MS, LMHC
Psychotherapist
Mrs. Campos has been faithfully serving in the clinical department of FCA since 2008. Throughout the years, she has played an important role in expanding services and ensuring that students receive the clinical support they need. She is always willing and ready to help any child, approaching her work with compassion and dedication.
Orlando Vargas, BS
Wellness Specialist
Mr. Orlando has been a dedicated member of the FCA team since 2010 and currently serves as the Wellness Specialist. In this role, he works closely with the culinary team to create healthy and nutritious meals, ensuring that student wellness remains a top priority. His passion for helping children thrive physically is evident in the care and commitment he brings to his work each day.
Susan Díaz, FNP
School Nurse
Mrs. Susan Diaz has been a valued member of the FCA team since 2010, serving in various roles throughout the years. She currently serves as Head Nurse, ensuring that every child receives the medical attention they need, no matter how big or small the concern may be. Her genuine care and dedication to helping students feel better are clearly reflected in the love and trust our students have for Mrs. Diaz.
Amaris Morales, BS
Paraprofessional
Mrs. Amaris Morales holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She has been serving in FCA since 2025, aiding teachers in many capacities. Her dedication to helping teachers in all departments makes the load lighter here at FCA. Her passion for our student's is reflected in her warm personality.
